The strides Tanner is and will be making over the offseason will be big. There is no guarantee that Taysom will even be 100% by spring ball. It's my understanding he just barely got to weightbearing again? Either way. I just don't see a scenario where Tanner sits unless Taysom shows up and blows him out of the water.
Taysom is high risk high reward. Give him the keys and he might take you for a good 4 game joyride but then crashes and burns and we are pulling Tanner off the bench for a second time and asking him to lead a team that was given to someone else. Tanner is low risk high reward. Easily the best passer since John Beck, may end up better than any of BYU's past QB's. He literally saved our 2015 season and somehow managed our best record in 4 years. I just don't see how you bench a kid like that.
