1. First, as a matter of policy, BYU treats RMs like soldiers returning from war, they have a right to reinstatement. So Luke is guaranteed a basketball scholarship for a year in any case.
2. Who among those on the roster have proven they are willing body bangers in the low post? Two of the 3 best at that are gone, Mika and Kaufusi. That leaves Childs. Dastrup, talented and willing to please as he is, may fill that badly needed role. But his inclination has been more of a Wiltjer like stretch 4. Nevertheless, Payton has far more ability than Luke, so Worthington's minutes might have more to do with how well Dastrup does at the low block.
One thing Worthington brings, however limited his game, is physical play. Are people here saying that despite the loss of Kaufusi and Mika, we have no need of Luke? Looks like a 10 minute per game guy to me.
