He was nationally known and could have gone anywhere. I still believe the only reason we did get him is that Frank Arnold was a long time friend of the family going back to his assistant days at the UO. If Arnold hadn't been hired at BYU and had stayed at UCLA I think Arnold would have gotten him to go there or he would have gone to Oregon State or UO.
