Admittedly, some aren't "hostile" toward BYU, but in terms of even admitting, let alone calling out or standing up to the anti-LDS behavior and balderdash coming out of your own fanbase? No, based upon my own anecdotal experience, I absolutely have to disagree with you there. Even the best ALUFs among you largely choose to just remain silent, in denial, or both.
Props to you and your son if you do call it out and stand up to it, though. You're essentially an anomaly within your own fanbase. And I'm convinced if all of you ALUFs were like unto that, behold, the very powers of uofu hellish behavior would be shaken forever; yea, and the devil would not have power over the hearts of even the vilest of your fanbase (for fear of reprisal)... seriously, though, it would make a HUGE difference.
