As a member of Gen X, I have clear memory of the good life the Boomers inherited and wasted..... but it was just their fault. Globalization and free trade led to shipping millions of jobs overseas. Financialization led to corporations outsourcing everything they could.
America was a far wealthier place for more people back in 1981. Now wealth concentration is out of control.
