Former Fly Half
Kareem's numbers in his prime are better than Shaq's. Kareem won 6 MVPs to one
for Shaq. He averaged 34.8 and 16.6 in one season. His 4th best win shares/48 is the same as Shaq's best.
Shaq was very good, but he was no Kareem.

This is a good answer. I think if you add Duncan it is a clear best 8 of all

Yes and it isn't close.

Career? Yes…hard to top peak Shaq though. He was dominant

That’s kind of What I’m wondering. If I needed one of them in their prime to play a game I think it might be shock, but

Kareem also played in the 70s pre-merger in a league with much less talent

Apr 26, 6:22pm
Kareem played 13 years after the merger. Was an amazingly skilled player at 7-2

Ya I was just talking about his peak stats years…they were pre-merger

Outside of Artis Gilmore, most of the best centers were in the NBA, not the ABA.

That might be true…his numbers just dip post-merger

Kareem also played with maybe the best winner of all time...Magic.

It was hard to narrow it down to just 5. So many players deserve or could be

Oscar has no business being close to top 5. None.

I'll go Robertson instead then.

If you're going off the top 5 players that dominated their eras, I would put

LeBron was the best player in the NBA for 20 years

I love Duncan, but if you're saying Lebron didn't dominate his era, then neither

Why do we care about back to back titles?

Fair. But Lebron has won 4 Finals MVPs to Duncan's 3 Finals MVPs.

Apr 26, 9:32am
Finals MVP can be overrated as well. See Iguodala, Andre. But I agree that

Iguodala got finals MVP because he “held” LeBron to 36, 13, and 8
