just a symptom of lingering congestion. Start with nasal flushes as Hypnotoad suggested. Also taking decongestants for a few days, even if you didn't feel particularly congested can help with the ear pressure. If, after a couple weeks, you still don't feel fully cleared out or if the congestion gets worse again you may have a sinus infection and may want to consider antibiotics. Low grade infections can sometimes just hang around without making you feel really sick, but they wear you down. Some things to watch for are headaches (particularly in the forehead area), pressure/discomfort in your cheeks, eyes, jaw or teeth, toothaches, irritated throat from nasal drip, and difficulty regulating ear pressure as you mentioned. Symptoms are usually worse in the morning, get better through the day, then often show up again as you get tired at night. Making sure you get enough sleep makes a big difference.
