He didn't go into what exactly are the misconceptions, he did not provide any context other than saying the media and the local media are playing or have played a role in the misconception(s). The perception may exist that Utah is a better place (fit) for polynesian players and that Utah has more polynesian players and he showed that this is not the case. I think this was the perception that he was trying to debunk. He spoke about the support system at BYU for polynesians who grew up with english being a second language and the large polynesian community at BYU.
