Actually does anybody know a way to make money online?

I was reading this.

It is basically an article telling you how to get $1000 in savings, even if you are just living paycheck to paycheck. (great for those of us that are poor college students.) One of the things he mentions is if you don't have enough money to save $15 dollars a month, you could EASILY make this filling out a few surveys online. He mentions some take less than 30 seconds. Has anybody tried this? Is it a major pain in the butt? I think about the times when Cougarboard has rallied, (most recently 6th fan contest) I wonder if more money could have been made filling out surveys and doing online work. (i understand that wasn't the point of the 6th fan contest.)
