Everyone says this, and I don't necessarily disagree, but

I think its closer than most people think. Malone owned Duncan at times defensively. Even the last year of Malone's career in 2004 as a Laker, Malone's defense on Duncan was one of the biggest factors that they won the series. Duncan is pretty good defensively too though. I think Malone and Duncan are pretty close on that list.
