But one of a few locations where one gets there foot in the door and by foot in the door I mean slammed in the door with a terrible work/life balance and compensation that really doesn't compensate them for all they do.
Working for a competitor I know at least 12 people in the last 3/4 years who have gone over perhaps due to their notoriety but most of the ones I stay in contact with have already left GS for other firms.
Obviously if you become an actual Investment Banker with the firm you'll be positioned to make a lot of money but too much nonsense to go through to get there IMO.
