I took my 10 and 8 year old boys, and they loved it. It's about 2.2 miles from the Silver Lake Flat Reservoir. We took our fishing poles - a few other fisherman we met caught some fish, we didn't.

We all enjoyed the hike, it had some nice views. I think if you pace yourself, you'll be fine.
