The Nelson/Heaps/Doman/Jamie Hill/Weber seasons were a debacle for well discussed reasons. Last year = new QB still learning to be an elite thrower, new offensive scheme, new Offense coaching staff, rebuilding O-line, possibly toughest schedule ever, etc.
This year all of those things are better. Many other issues, like replacing graduating players, are normal issues a football program deals with regularly. So the team should show a lot of progress.
I think the state of Hill's passing game this year shows whether he makes the leap to elite QB status or is a talented running QB who is an OK thrower.
I am also interested to see if blue zone touchdown % improves. Overall, if the coaches and players establish that upward trend. I certainly hope so!
