Most missionary transfers discuss their desires/thoughts RE transferring with their family I assume (Langi seems unique in that he sprung it upon his family). Families typically reach out to coaches in behalf of their kid (e.g., Wadsworth, Hill, etc) to gauge interest. So if chase is looking to transfer he is likely discussing that with family and I would imagine they may inform Chase that Langi is transferring and it was a fan/media nightmare in Utah. Maybe that affects decision or not. And his transfer desires are mere speculation anyway at this point. Just throwing idea out there.
