Author titled it the best game ever. Although I became a fan(atic) with this game, I wouldn't call it the best game ever. I can't explain why, but that title goes to the 59-0 drubbing of UCLA. I have NEVER had so much fun watching a football game. Anyway, the link above is an article about the day I officially became a BYU fan...(I watched the game on TV). After that, watched any game I could, absorbed any news I could find, etc. etc. It was a lot tougher to watch games back then - makes me really appreciate the access I have now as an out of state fan.

What was your best game ever? Here are some that might be in my top 10 (not in any order)

1. Inaugural ESPN broadcast - BYU vs Pittsburgh in 1984. Watched it in the Marriott Center with thousands of other nut jobs. That was really fun. I will never forget watching Adam Haysbert catch pass across the middle for the go ahead TD.
2. The Miracle Bowl (of course)
3. The 1984 Holiday Bowl (not so much the game, but the results - plus the fact that I was on the field)
4. The Texas game last year. Very satisfying
5. The Miami Game (I don't remember watching this one live though, so it may not belong on my list)
6. The Cotton Bowl victory over K State. I remember that as really intense for me.

I am sure there are others, so help me out here. What are some of your favorite football games, or maybe a story about the day you officially became a fan(atic)? Another week to fill before fall camp as well as a month until kickoff. Can't wait for the season to start. Hope runs eternal every year at this time!
