part of the problem is in the snap
you would have to be used to taking the snap either way to have the laces on the correct hand, the D could then focus on this to give away what the play likely would be

or else he'd have to take the snap the same every time, say with the laces on the right hand, but then switch mid play which risks fumbles and takes away the option for a quick hitting throw with the left hand
