Felt that we needed a land line. Used the verizon base station that you just hook your regular handset into. Worked just fine. You would have never known that it wasn't a landline. We also had good verizon coverage in our area. It cost the same as an additional line (10 bucks a month) and we shared minutes with the other lines.
