At least 2 of them were in BCS conferences and doing well around the time
they were scheduled weren't they? I can't remember exactly when UConn or Cincinnati were scheduled, but up until last year they were considered in a BCS conference, and have recently had some success (am I remembering right that UConn wasn't terrible not too long ago?).

East Carolina, Boise State, Fresno State are all decent teams. Would we really rather swap some of these out for Indiana, Colorado, Iowa State, Kentucky, etc.? Those are the lower level BCS teams that would potentially come to Provo to play on a 1 year notice.

Not that much of a difference in my mind, so you take who will actually come to Provo.
