much more than from 54% to 56-58 or so on the year. No way he gets to 60%. It was comical to hear them admit that:
A) the schedule is significantly easier,
B) that his first 4 games averaged 45% and that he was much better afterward including some of their toughest games
C) Second year in the offense
D) One more year of experience
E) Demonstrated throwing efficiency in the Manning camp
F) Expected better Oline
Given all of that, they just could not say that his completion percentage could improve more than maybe 2% or say what a great QB he could be. They would only give him credit for running.

Next they went on and on about how IF whitt gets this team to 6-6 that it would be such an amazing achievement, more impressive than going 12-0 and winning the Sugar bowl. Breaking that down I see their beliefs like this:

Beating Idaho State, Fresno St, WSU, Colorado, Arizona and either (ASU or Michigan both down this year) very possibly no ranked teams
=Better than
Undefeated season, top 5 finish, and Beating All of MWC (including #16 BYU, #11 TCU) + USU, Weber and Oregon State and then #6 Alabama
Or in other words, every P5 team that goes to a bowl game has had a better season than the utes '08. Way to degrade your team Gunther!
