The problem with some of your logic is that you have to cut men's programs in
greater proportions to the women's programs to comply with Title IX. Remember, there are more women participating in each women's program than there are in the men's programs to help balance out the percentages eaten up by football scholarships. So, in reality, you likely have to cut 1 1/2 men's programs for every women's program cut.

Based on that, and the fact that there are some sports that produce almost NO revenue, the easiest place to make back a quick few million or so would be to completely eliminate the water sports, tennis and skiing (strictly for the money) and then you eliminate men's gymnastics and lacrosse for Title IX purposes:

Men's swimming - $522,000,
Women's swimming - $540,000
Men's Water Polo - $380,000
Women's Water Polo - $500,000
Men's Tennis - $368,000
Women's Tennis - $394,000
Men's Skiing - $372,000
Women's Skiing - $435,000
Men's Gymnastics - $390,000
Men's Lacrosse - $365,000

Total Saved - $4,266,000
Programs Killed - Men, 6 - Women, 4
