My wife is from Mexico and we've been married almost 11 years. She was never supportive of going to games, paying for tickets, etc. and viewed it as time away from activities that we both enjoy. She grew up around a bunch of brothers and a father that loved watching soccer all the time and going to games and making it all about the game and not the family. We have 4 kids, ages 9-3 (2 of each). Last year she decided to support me in my BYU support, especially since the older 2 can watch the game. She started cooking for the games (finger food and the such, she's a great chef). This year, finally, she's excited for the games and so are the kids. It's been a slow evolution, but a good one!
