1. Taysom is the real deal. He was a stud tonight.
2. Brown is the best runner on this team after Jamal, too bad he couldn't hold onto the ball. Dropped pass, then fumble. Needs to fix that.
3. Mitch Matthews looked good tonight, and Juergens was surprising. He looked pretty fast on that big play that was called back.
4. Kaufusi looks quick and got around the OL a lot. He will make a lot of noise this year.
5. Lots of solid LB. Don't know who will step up, but a lot of them played and did well.
6. Preator was a pleasant surprise. Its good to see a Fr contribute at CB. Davis also has a lot of potential. He has a lot to learn, but with his size and speed, he can be really good. We will be much better off with JJ and Daniels, but its good to have quality depth as well as replacements for the future (did trammel play at all, was he injured or suspended?)
7. Field position will be a struggle all year. Kickoff team needs to show up big if the kicks continue to end up at the 15 yard line.
8. Need to cut down the mistakes, especially if the refs are as bad as they were tonight.

Good to start off with a win. Bring on Texas.
