The majority of that $500-700 million is being divided by conferences
Well before any teams are selected to participate in games. This includes some going to BYU (much less than others).
Participation in a NY6 game only garners $4M. Participation in a CFP semi-final game only garners $6M.
We are already excluded from much of the $500M+ the $4M is not a big enough concern for the P5 when they're starring at about $50M per conference before any participants are selected....
