I've had crappy apartment provided cable, Dish, AT&T Uverse, and Verizon Fios - but never directv. I enjoy Comcast. I've never had problems with mistakes on my monthly bill, but it does require some haggling to get a decent deal once you're out of the promo period.

I really enjoy their new X1 system and I think the picture quality is better with them than Fios which traditionally has a good picture. You might want to see if Comcast is willing to throw in HBO for free as well. They were offering it free for a year a couple months back.

Their On Demand system has a lot of good shows and they seem to offer all of the major sports channels in a middle tier unlike some which stick NBATV, MLBTV, and NFLTV on separate tiers with some needing the top level.
