I've seen plenty of guy who look like they should be Americans that couldn't play football to save their lives. Conversely I have seen some guys with poor physiques ball out.

Bryan Kehl tells a great story about when he first got in the league he thought he would not only play but start over albedo the guys in front of him due to their poor physique. He quickly found out they could play.
