What I heard SCREAMED in the west stands today.

UVA inside the five yard line, about to score. "Illegal lineman down field, he can't do that!!!!" There's no "down field" when they're inside the 5.

UVA's QB goes down. "Good!!!! Get him out of the game!"

Red head dude went ape yewt screaming at the top of his lungs to throw a flag when there was no sign of a penalty, not even close.

"HOLDING HOLDING HOLDING HOLDING" of course.

And worst of all, the booing. If you're a grown adult "booing" at a game then there must be a horrendous call that could cost us the game. If the game is in hand, and the refs make some bad calls that result in a td that won't change the game, then be frustrated but shake it off. BYU fans don't care about football. BYU fans care about "our stadium wasn't full." "The refs hate us and Mormons." "Did we look cool on national tv?" "How does our win look? 41-26 would look better that 41-33 so I'm going to be a grown adult and boo!!!"

No, you didn't look cool on tv you looked like a bunch of idiots. And granted we were never going to the ACC but as an Indy standing all alone with zero representation in the grand scheme of things, ours is the impossible task of winning games but making sure teams and even P5 ref crews walk away from our stadium thinking BYU is a class place. We're still very early on in Indy but if we burn bridges with P5 schools the word gets out about us and we'll have a very hard time continueing to schedule good teams. One of the reasons Notre Dame is Notre Dame is because they are pure class at home and on the road. They would never BOO a ref crew while leaving the field, especially after a game that was won comfortably.

Also, our team is good but from a penalty and discipline standpoint we are bad bad bad. So don't blame the refs, blame the players and the coaches.
