it will really matter how good we are. I'm not sure how you are quantifying respect, but if it is based on bowl access, we'd have to be a whole lot better as a member of the Pac-12 to get to the Las Vegas Bowl. Just ask Utah about that. Big time conferences have access to better bowls, but you have to win the whole league to get there, so I'm not sure why you think it doesn't matter how good we are.
