There are a lot of people who feel that way
Texas canning Mack Brown had a lot to do with the BYU shellacking from last year. Many people will point to Michigan getting dismantled by Utah as the nail in the coffin for Hoke losing his gig at Michigan (unless he wins the Big10 or whatever they call it now).

I think this comment is more a reflection of the haves vs. the have nots. In a way, I think people still look at Utah and BYU as have nots. Utah is now part of the P5, but that doesn't mean you immediately gain respect. As stated, Michigan is the winningest team in CFB history, they have one of the biggest fan bases in the country, their budget is astronomical, they make more money as a football program than everyone save Texas, they fill a 100,000+ stadium at every game, and they haven't lost to a non-conference foe under Hoke. For Utah to come in and not just beat them, but dominate them in every phase of the game, says something about Utah, but it also says a lot about Michigan.

With a solid year this year, Utah wins 7-8 games and finishes somewhere between 5-7 in the PAC standings. Will a team like Michigan, one of the storied programs in all of CFB, tolerate a mid-tier PAC team coming into their own stadium and whooping them? That's all this coach is saying. And frankly, I don't disagree. Major props to Utah. They looked great. But if you are a Michigan fan, you can't be happy with what you saw on their side of the ball.
