for BYU.
Bronco is taking a much different view compared to years past: “I would’ve liked to -- and there were a number of opportunities -- to pull away,” Mendenhall said. “We aren’t capable yet of being able to do that -- but we are capable of winning games. I’ll smile while we work on it, at least for now, but there is some urgency to make sure we can pull away when we have a chance.”
Noted BYU QB saying what fans want to hear. Cougar junior quarterback Taysom Hill knows his team has to take advantage of similar chances when they come around.
"We need that killer instinct," Hill said. "In hindsight, we’ll look at it and make sure we come out on top. I think a lot of it when we had those drives stall was stupid penalties. But for the most part we did what we needed to do to win the football game and that’s all that matters."
Not only are they doing this, keeping this as their focus, they really really mean it. Good time to rest, come out against USU and just explode on them (ESPN, evening and on a Friday). No reason NOT to really dominate from start to finish.
