Gym in Orem. This was way before anyone knew who he was. He hadn't even played a game yet at UVU. Back then there was some serious hoop being played at the old Gold's in Orem, and guys from UVU and BYU would show up.

I was patrolling the paint and he got the ball on the wing and came straight down the lane at me. At the time I was about 6'5", 240 and I thought I was going to put this skinny cocky kid on his butt. He jumped. I jumped. He just kept going up and threw it down one handed over my out stretched hands. Pretty embarrassing at the time but after he led the NCAA in scoring and played a million years in the NBA, not as bad.
