That's fine if you mean "your net worth is where you want it to be at age 40 on
its way to where you really want to be" rather than "where you want it to be, period." For probably 99.9% of people, their peak earning years will be well after age 40, and their net worth will peak well after age 40, and usually at a much higher level.
