baths are weird b/c they are a waste of space but still necessary aesthetically
I have a big jetted tub in my master bath I think I've used 2-3 times in 5 years. My wife doesn't use it either. The kids use it some, but it takes too much water and too long to fill, and we run out of hot water before it gets full. We usually used the kids' bathroom tub as it's much smaller, but every now and then the kids wanted the bubbles from the jet. Now the kids are older and take showers instead of baths. It takes up a large amount of space in the bathroom, which presumably could be reutilized in more productive ways.

Despite that, walking into a master bath with no tub, it just feels lacking somehow, like you didn't quite have the money/energy to finish it. Aesthetically, the tub needs to offset the sinks and shower to make it somehow feel whole and complete.
