Currently, BYU is in a three-way tie for third place in the WCC, along with Pepperdine and Santa Clara. The Cougars, Waves and Broncos are three games behind second-place Saint Mary’s. Santa Clara defeated Pepperdine Saturday night, 60-57. Since beating Portland, San Francisco and Santa Clara in impressive fashion after falling to Gonzaga in the WCC opener, BYU has lost three of its last five games.
