I couldn't pay anyone to admit they were Bengals fans - very few even wanted to claim the Browns.

Then in 1988 they started 7-0 and everyone was all of a sudden a Bengals fan....Boy was I glad they faced my 49ers in the Super Bowl...I got a lot of crap for wearing my Jerry Rice jersey during the season...also got crap for my Glen Kozlowski BYU jersey (may have been in Buckeye country but Wolverines were also around)...the Bengals then crawled back into being irrelevant relatively quickly...
