I think a lot of fans are disappointed that there hasn't been more accountability for the failures of last season.
With that lack of accountability, or at least more communication with the fans, the energy/enthusiasm about the program continues to decline.

Next comes fan apathy. Hard to fill stadiums when that sets in. Even when a team does ok.
