A few thoughts: find out why it was salvaged. Hail damage fixed properly for example will give you less problems than a front end crash.
If you want to know what it would be worth to wholesale out of it look up rough trade value on NADA and divide it by HALF. That is about what you could get a dealership to give you for it if it doesn't work out and you need to dump it.
IMO those dealerships charge too much considering they are salvaged. That being said, if you buy one expecting to drive it into the ground it may be a good value. Just don't drive it 3 to 4 years and expect to get much for it on trade.
