Until he figures out how to not only box out--but to corral a rebound as well--I agree his diminished role is likely to stick, though. To his credit in his few minutes last night he was all business. I really like Luke's attitude & effort--& he's clearly worked hard on his conditioning (you'll therefore never catch me badmouthing him).
His finesse game around the basket is certainly the right approach to the game considering his height & lack of hops. But again, until he puts the botched layups behind him, I don't see him getting a shot to expand his offensive game (as the coaches experimented early in the season with).
