My personal opinion is that he is/was convinced that BYU would have one more bad loss down the stretch. I think the bubble is really soft this year, and BYU could definitely make the cut even if we don't beat Gonzaga (no guarantees, but I think we've got a shot). I think he's put us low so that it's easy to knock us off the bubble when that bad loss comes.
