I disagree. I'm a huge LeBron supporter but put MJ on the Heat and
there is no way he doesn't beat Dallas in the finals. LeBron while being a phenomenal player doesn't have the confidence and drive that MJ had. LeBron has been to the finals 5 times and 3 of the times his teams were embarrassed - 2 of those 5 times because he flopped on the biggest stage (although I think he deserves a pass for his Cleveland try) MJ was a better dribbler, was quicker and played better defense IMO. Lebron is stronger, a more willing passer (but probably not a better passer) and has more range on his shot. They are 2 very different players. MJ had the best short/mid range jump shot I have ever seen. LeBron might have the slight edge in finishing around the rim because of his size. All of these things of course are debatable.

I love that LeBron has developed a deadly post game and can play more positions than MJ could. I think based on skillets you can make an argument either way. MJ however, had a rare ability to elevate his game in the biggest games . MJ INFUSED confidence into his team mates. I listened to an interview of Horace Grant talk about MJ and he talked about how MJ took EVERYTHING personal. He mentions getting ready for a game against the Knicks and MJ wouldn't talk to anyone before the game and looked pissed. He said the team all started whispering to each other with smiles on their faces saying "yup, this ones in the bag" Great stuff.

LeBron has his own unique personality, and I think he has a few more titles in him. He is special, and one of a kind. But IMO when skillsets are so close between the two you have to ask yourself "who wants it more?' MJ does. No question.

Lebron still has time to write his legacy

MJ retired twice after winning titles, he should have 2-3 more.
