...it might be too much. It's a good read, but it's meant for people who are doing detailed, fundamental analysis. Full-time investors. Will you learn something from it regardless? Yes. Is it the first thing I'd recommend? No.
The little book that beats the market is good, and a quick read.
I'm not familiar with the other, except for A Random Walk. I don't believe in the efficient markets hypothesis (at least not in a strong form). With that being said, I don't recommend individuals try to save for retirement by picking stocks. I think you're best off with a low cost index fund. But if you're just trying to educate yourself, doesn't hurt to read this or any other books. Just bear in mind that just about everyone in academia and practice has a different view on investing and the markets.
