If I recall correctly, Tanner grey-shirted for a year, before participating in Spring Ball. He then left on his mission during the summer, and will return this summer. This means that he hasn't used any eligibility, save 1 semester when he participated in Spring Ball... I definitely see him becoming the #2 guy this fall, as long as he has glanced at his play book weekly while on his mission.

He was very adequate during the one spring he had with the team, and I'm excited to see how he develops. If Taysom gets injured and can't finish the season, Tanner will be thrown into the Lions' den. Let's hope that Taysom can avoid those "dirty horse collaring dairy yewts". (emphasis added)
