I can tell you what I have been told in classes but they may not be full answers

And I don't know that they are the answers you are looking for

#1 women only do the first stage of meiosis when they themselves are a fetus. This means that they are born with all the eggs(or would be eggs) they will ever have. Men on the other hand do meiosis there entire lives so they are continually producing sperm.

#2 only one egg develops as a result of meiosis because the cytoplasm and cell components are not equally divided during each division of meiosis. Each division produces one future egg cell with all the good stuff and one cell that basically only has chromosomes (this is called a polar body). The result is that the egg has a lot of size and plenty of the cellular components. Eggs are about quality while sperm are about quantity

#3 I really am not sure about that one. If I were to guess I would say they are looking at radioactive decay and comparing it to how the ovary gives off the egg. I would look up that process and see if you can draw any analogies
