think it has more to do with the polarization between our "advanced stat" rankings (e.g. Pomeroy, Sagarin, BPI, etc.), and our RPI (and more specifically, wins - or lack thereof - vs. RPI Top 50 teams).

My guess is the brackets that have us seeded highly are basing this more on power rankings like Pomeroy which say we are a very high quality team. Those that have us out are doing so because of our "resume" and the lack of quality wins. Those that have us in but on the bubble probably are somewhere in between the two of those (which is most likely where the committee lands, IMO).
