I think elementary school actually makes it worse.

I mentioned it because my elementary-school kids often bring home notes from their teachers that are riddled with spelling and/or grammatical errors and it drives me nuts. How are they supposed to teach my kids to write correctly when they fail at even the most basic stuff?
