...the guy is a crack-up IMO.

Plus, he really does his homework. When he has done BYU games in the past for example, he has referenced Kresimir Cosic and what an awesome player and humanitarian he was along with a lot of other former players (other than Jimmer and Ainge like every other analyst). He also talked a lot about mormon missionary work and its influence for good etc.

Then he has his go-to shtick stuff...Cortez (his dog), dissing his broadcast partner (i.e. not remembering his name), referencing the Grateful Dead/Deadheads at least once a broadcast, and, of course, his outlandish quotes. Some of his more famous, and frequently used are:

"Throw it down big man, throw it down!"
"Winner of the genetic lottery"
{insert players name, his dogs name, or pretty much any noun you can think of}... is the best "in the history of western civilization" etc, etc ...(you can find a ton more online).

He loves to pontificate, and the more he does, the better the dialogue gets. Pure comedy.
