Not too bad. Bring plenty of water and stop often to drink and take pics, so
your kids will enjoy it more.
When we did it with out kids (7 kids, ages 12-1 at the time) we brought a lunch to eat at the top. We had the youngest in a jogging stroller... pros and cons to that, as it allowed us to carry more supplies, but pushing and pulling it was annoying at times. For us it was better than carrying the youngest along with food and water for everyone, so it was worth it. It was late summer when we went, so it was also quite hot. We loaded up on sunscreen and reapplied at the top.

We made sure to stop, drink some water and take pictures often so the younger kids didn't get worn out too fast.
It isn't a rough hike by any means, but with kids you want to pace it so they don't wear out. The 3 year old walked all of it and was worn out at the end, but made it. 5 year old up all thought it was great and didn't have any real problems.
