My take is, CH said exactly what he should have said to the media as
most people would expect. What's he supposed to tell Ute fans?... "I just about transferred to BYU, our rival". Of course not.
Same goes for TH... Is he really going to publicly admit that BYU played hardball, had their bluff called and then the big 12 shut the door? Of course not... The PC play is to say "we never had an invite" which we all know means... The big 12 was interested, we couldn't come to terms therefore they didn't make the invite official.
