We watched 2/3 of it and couldn't take it anymore . . .
The audio was hard to hear and understand in parts, but the worst for us was the portrayal of Jesus as a reluctant/accidental Savior, at least through the parts we watched. I suspect they did that to heighten the drama for what He does later, but they omitted some key events that would have undercut their "accidental Savior" spin. Among the key parts omitted were Jesus teaching in the temple at the age of 12, the Father announcing His Son when Jesus was baptized, and Jesus being tempted for 40 days right after His baptism and before His ministry. We enjoyed the book a lot, but we thought the movie was a waste of time. We're disappointed that "No Spin" O'Reilly would have been associated -- perhaps only by his promoting the movie -- with a film that put such an odd spin on the life of Jesus, a spin that is refuted by the evidence from the scriptures.
