you are handy and know what you are doing. It doesn't take a dealer--any handy man who installs garage doors would be fine.

And since you said yourself that you are not handy, you should definitely not try it yourself. I've done it, and it really is not hard to do safely, but the spring is very strong and if you don't do it correctly, it could really hurt you (or even kill you).
