I remember my kindergarten teacher telling our parents to not let us pass out

sugary treats to everyone on our birthdays. My mom actually listened to her and brought raisins for everyone on my birthday. Freaking raisins. I was so angry. And all the other kids' moms brought cupcakes on their birthdays, because their parents didn't care what the stupid teacher said.

Who cares, let the kiddos eat some sugar. Unless your kids are fatties and/or don't brush their teeth, it's not that big a deal.
